Haptics Showcase is an application developed to test the ability of Blind and Vision Impaired ability to determine basic 2 and 3 dimensional shapes with a haptic device. To run the program, the openhaptics API must be installed (available from http://www.sensable.com/support-downloads.htm). To run without a haptic device use the demo button in the top left.
Results of the testing phase will be available prior to June 2008. Source code is available from our SVN server at svn://www.cucat.org/HapticShapeShowcase or by request. Haptics Showcase is an open source application licensed under the GPL.
