Following are notes on how to access the cisco site with Jaws for windows.
Ensure jaws or your screen reader of choice is loaded on the pc. open internet explorer.
Now open the following url:
http://cisco.netacad.net/
Ensure there is no leading www in the URL.
You will reach the netacad home page.
You need to get down to the academy users log in section.
You can either jump to the heading level 3 by hitting h repeatedly or hit e twice to get to the second edit field.
Key in your provided username and password.
Hit enter on the enter button. 
You will want to check that your profile is in order on the sight and that the radio button marked "show accessible content when available" is set to yes.
This will provide cariculum in a far more accessible format than is usually provided.
Once the student home page comes up you need to find the table of classes that you are a member of.
In Jaws press t to find the table.

Hit enter on the class you want.
Once the page loads, arrow down or search for "view official course material"
Hit enter on the accessible link.

A new browser window will open with the cariculum in it.
For now this procedure has to be repeated each time you enter the netacad site.
Your preference regarding accessible content should be preserved.

hints on taking tests:
You will be required to complete module exams by taking online tests on the netacad site.
Apart from onscreen pictures these tests are for the most part accessible. Here is how to take one:
Log into the academy site as usual.
search for a text sstring by hitting control f and typing start date
now select your class.
Hit insert f7 and hit t for take assessment. You can now hit enter to activate the link.
A new window will open.
use your arrows to select the exam you want to take and hit enter.
arrow down the page and read it in order to know the exam length 
to select the number of questions arrow down to the combo box and hit enter to activate forms mode.
hit alt down-arrow to open the combo box. We suggest you then hit end to put the maximum of 15 questions per page.
If using internet explorer 7; you may wish to only have 1 question per page as Jaws will often loose its place once you select a radio button.
You can get around this by using temporary place markers; see the internet explorer help for details.

hit the "next page" link to continue.
It is imperative that you read the exam instructions at least once. They are important.
Hit the begin assessment link.
You will be shown the first page of questions. You can use your arrow keys to read the questsions. Select your answer by hitting space on the radio button of choice. You do not need to activate forms mode to do this.
Once you have answered all the questions on the current page either use the combo box to navigate to another page or hit the next button to get to the next page.
Once you have finished the exam make sure you hit the grade exam button.
